Meet Elli, a Babysitter and our Summer 2022 Giveaway Winner!

Hello Dancing Panda Pals! Today’s post spotlights Elli, our most recent Instagram giveaway winner. Elli is a caregiver and she has loved playing Dancing Panda activities with the kids she babysits.

Elli is currently a sophomore at Wellesley College, where she is hoping to explore fields in STEM and education. She loves working with kids and spends her free time babysitting her neighbors or working at the Wellesley Community Children’s Center during the school year. With her extensive experience working with children, Elli’s interest in Dancing Panda was piqued once she heard about its premise of quick and easy educational activities.

Elli signed up for a free summer program via the rules for our Instagram giveaway and received her first Dancing Panda text in mid-July of 2022. Since then, both she and the kids she works with have looked forward to Dancing Panda activities each week. In Elli’s own words, “I think it’s a fun tool to breed connection and invitation almost to your child’s life. While the activities might be quick and simple, it’s an opportunity to communicate and smile together.”

When asked about any highlights of partaking in these activities, Elli enthusiastically brought up the weekly trivia questions. Elli admits to even taking a sneak peek of the trivia activity before babysitting her kids since she’s curious about the answer herself. When she babysits her neighbors, they go over the questions during snack time and their responses always spark up more communication.

Although Elli mentioned many different facets of the company that she admires, from the logo branding colors to the content of the activities itself, she says that the structure of subjects divided by grade level is something she finds really special. She explains that “the fact that the curriculum is stratified by grade level keeps me excited to keep participating year after year.” Elli’s neighbors are going into kindergarten, so they are currently using the kindergarten plan. However, Elli explains that she appreciates how she’s excited to explore other activities as her kids keep getting older. The way Dancing Panda activities can grow with each kid makes the experience “really fun and really magical.”

Elli has also been enjoying the items sent over from her giveaway prize! She has gifted the kid sunglasses from Toucca Kids and a beach bag to the kids she babysits, and she let me know that the kids were overjoyed and have been putting these items to use. Elli also plans on gifting some of the Joyce Wan stickers to her fellow book-loving friend. Although she has been busy spreading the Dancing Panda love, Elli has kept the stuffed panda, which is proudly displayed on her desk at the moment!
