At Dancing Panda, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for families to connect. As a busy working parent myself, I know how easy it is to get caught up in routine - wake up, eat breakfast, get kids to school, go to work, pick up, drive to activities, make dinner, go to bed. Rinse and Repeat. A few years ago, I found myself longing for stronger emotional connections with my girls. I knew I was stuck - tired from the neverending to do list of parenting, on top of the demands of a stressful job.
I began researching ways to create stronger connections with my two girls. I read that “emotionally charged events are remembered better than those of neutral events,” so I wanted to find ways to create shared experiences and meaningful memories. I reached out to my parenting networks to find out how others may be doing this. One friend shared that she organizes an individualized, weeklong vacation with each of her daughters. She’d go to a dude ranch in the Midwest with one and have a city adventure with the other. I knew I couldn't dedicate a weeklong vacation for each girl, but I could do a “Mommy and Me Day.”
This summer, each of my girls and I will be having our fourth annual Mommy and Me day. We plan every aspect of the day together, ensuring their dream day is as unique as they are. We’ve gone rock climbing and surfing, we’ve been to museums and water parks, and most frequently - amusement parks!

That’s why when I was thinking about Dancing Panda’s summer theme I immediately thought of an amusement park. I wanted to bring the same sense of connection, bonding, and memory-making from my mommy and me days to Dancing Panda this summer. I wanted our users to feel like no matter how little time they had in their busy day, they could still carve out time for connection. I wanted to make it easy and fun and meaningful. As such, I am so pleased to introduce you to DanPan Park, our super fun summer adventure in learning!
