Need More Help: This is a tricky question. The key word here is “weigh”. If you chose bricks you may have been thinking “density.” They are different!
Weight is how much gravity is needed to hold you to the earth. The same amount of gravity is needed for a ton of ANYTHING! A ton of humans, a ton of crickets, a ton of cheese all weigh the same. But they have different densities.
Density is how much space or volume an object or group of objects needs to exist. Bricks are more dense than feathers, meaning they take up more space and have more volume.

Learning Connections
STE(A)M: Science, Technology, Engineering, (Art) and Math also known as STE(A)M are the subjects of both the present and future. It is projected that the STEM field will be the fastest growing field in our economy and students with STEM skills will be better prepared for the workforce than students without STEM skills. As a result of this reality many school districts have begun to use an integrated approach to prepare all children for success in the future.
In elementary school, there is a focus on children learning STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. The STEAM integrated approach emphasizes critical thinking, real world problem solving, and ethical applications in learning. Starting in pre-k it is imperative that children begin to use critical thinking skills to understand the world around them, solve problems, and help others. By integrating these 5 subjects students are introduced to multilevel and multivariable thinking in a real world way.
