Yen! In different countries around the world, people use different kinds of money. Japan is an island country in Asia. The money used in Japan is called Yen. Japanese Yen comes in bills (paper money) and coins. The paper money is colorful, with images of buildings, plants, and people from Japan. The symbol for yen is a Y with two lines through it → ¥
